It was only a few weeks ago at the inaugural Skybound Xpo virtual even a few weeks ago that comic creator Robert Kirkman unveiled the voice cast for the upcoming Invincible animated series based on his eponymous comics series.
Those who picked up the Invincible #1 Free Comic Book Day issue out this week have probably already seen the early look at the upcoming animated series featured in the book. Invincible fans will be glad to see how much the cartoon character designs resemble those of the comics, and for good reason. Skybound announced today that Cory Walker is in fact actually involved in the Invincible animated series as leader character designer.
We’re very proud to reveal that original INVINCIBLE artist and co-creator Cory Walker is the man behind the scenes as lead character designer on the INVINCIBLE animated series! Cory is one of the best designers in the game (seriously, if you ever need a costume designed, he’s the guy) and we really wanted the show to be true to the comic. It made total sense to have Cory on board to guide the look, and we’re beyond stoked that he joined our show team early on and has been absolutely killing it.
