The recruits of Star Trek: Prodigy will have a familiar face guiding their way: Star Trek: Voyager‘s Kathryn Janeway.
Kate Mulgrew will lend her voice to the upcoming Nickelodeon animated children’s program. The series will see a group of “rebellious teens” who take possession of a disused Starfleet vessel to find themselves and their place in the galaxy.
“I have invested every scintilla of my being in Captain Janeway, and I can’t wait to endow her with nuance that I never did before in Star Trek: Prodigy. How thrilling to be able to introduce to these young minds an idea that has elevated the world for decades. To be at the helm again is going to be deeply gratifying in a new way for me,” she said in a statement (via TVGuide).
Meanwhile, the New York Comic-Con Metaverse panel also touched upon the upcoming season of Star Trek: Discovery — including its first few minutes as Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) arrives 900 years in the future.
