Crystal Dynamics has confirmed the release date of the first additional character for Marvel’s Avengers, Kate Bishop, in their first Deep Dive War Table stream. The video goes into detail on Kate’s “Taking AIM” storyline, in which Kate works to track down Clint Barton — who went missing while doing undercover work for S.H.I.E.L.D. Her investigation brings her into contact with AIM, who are developing a time machine and a new villain, the Super-Adaptoid; a being capable of copying all of the Avengers’ moves and using them as his own. Fortunately, Kate comes with some stolen technology which grants her the ability to teleport and a powerful sword to go with her trick arrows to help in combat.
“Taking Aim” looks fairly lengthy for a downloadable content storyline, and leads into Clint Barton’s story, “Future Imperfect,” in which he will traverse a destroyed world and face Maestro, the Hulk’s evil future self. “Future Imperfect” doesn’t have a release date beyond “early 2021”, which is also when Marvel’s Avengers next-gen version will be available.
Marvel’s Avengers is available now for current-gen consoles, Google Stadia, and PC, with backwards compatibility for both next-gen consoles.
