Behold old man Josh Duhamel in the JUPITER’S LEGACY trailer

A new trailer for Jupiter’s Legacy has been released. Based on the comic book series of the same name by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Jupiter’s Legacy is the first Millar series Netflix adaptation since the streaming giant acquired Millarworld, the comic creator’s imprint line, back in 2017.

Jupiter’s Legacy is superhero drama that follows legendary hero Sheldon Sampson a.k.a The Utopian (played by Josh Duhamel underneath a copious amount of makeup) as he hands over his duties to the next generation of heroes, most notably his adult children adult children Chloe (Elena Kampouris) and Brandon (Andrew Horton) who struggle to live up to their parents’ “legacy.”

Jupiter’s Legacy also stars Leslie Bibb as Grace Sampson, a.k.a. Lady Liberty; Ben Daniels as Walter Sampson, a.k.a. Brainwave; Mike Wade as Fitz Small, a.k.a. The Flare; and Matt Lanter as George Hutchene, a.k.a. Skyfox.

Between The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ and Invincible on Amazon Prime, there’s definitely no better time to be a fan of superhero shows right now. Jupiter’s Legacy is just first Millarworld adaptation to arrive on Netflix with more to come. Coming down the pipe is an anime series based on Super Crooks as well as American Jessus which wrapped up filming over a year ago according to Millar on Twitter.

A previously announced sequel comic series Jupiter’s Legacy: Requiem arrives next month from Millar and artist Tommy Lee Edwards which will serve as a conclusion to this intergenerational superhero tale Millar began almost a decade ago.

Jupiter’s Legacy debuts on May 7 on Netflix
