Bethesda Announces Both ‘Redfall’ And ‘Starfield’ Delayed To The First Half Of 2023

Just a few weeks after announcing the date for the Xbox Summer Showcase, Bethesda has announced that both of their major titles scheduled to release this year, Redfall and Starfield, have been delayed to the first half of 2023. Bethesda released the statement on Twitter, saying:

“The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to ensure that you receive the best, most polished versions of them.”

Redfall closed out last year’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase, and was a first-person open world co-op title from Arkane Austin. Taking place in Redfall, Massachusetts, it features a collection of four people fighting back against vampires that have taken over the town. Redfall was originally meant to release in the summer of this year.

Starfield has been the main project of BGS since Fallout ’76 was released in 2018. The first new IP from the company in 25 years, the game was initially teased at E3 2018. Starfield was originally scheduled for November 11th, similar to Bethesda’s hit game Skyrim, which released November 11th, 2011.
