Watch for our full breakdown of the issue, including more about the line-up, later this week. Meanwhile, there are spoilers ahead for the X-Men Hellfire Gala one-shot, out today, written by Gerry Duggan and drawn by Kris Anka, Russell Dauterman, Matteo Lolli, and C.F. Villa.

A LOT happened in the Hellfire Gala this year, and it was largely contained to just a few issues, instead of the full X-Men line. That means there’s tons of new information, secrets and teases to digest. The biggest, of course, is the reveal of the new X-Men line-up for year 2 of Duggan’s series. And now that I’ve stalled to prevent spoilers, without any further ado…

Please welcome back Cyclops, Jean Grey and Synch from year one of the series. Joining them will be fan vote winner Firestar, as well as Forge, Havok, Iceman and Magik! This new squad will be jumping into action immediately, as the Judgment Day event hits the Marvel Universe next week and the team will be deep in the middle of it.

Their next story, starting in X-Men #13, is a tie in to the event, as Krakoa’s flagship team finds themselves facing the deadliest of the Eternals’ weapons- The Hex! The issue will also featuring the debut of new regular penciller CF Villa who will be rotating story arcs with superstar Joshua Cassara.

About the new line-up, Duggan said, “Firestar didn’t see the X-Men coming but I’m thrilled that she’s here because commencing with X-Men: Hellfire Gala # 1 and moving on, her story is exactly what the X-Men will need this year. If your favorite didn’t win — don’t despair. Every character mentioned is a page from the handbook on the way up. Hope you enjoy year two. Viva Krakoa!”
