Chip Zdarsky’s debut run on Batman comes to a conclusion this winter with Batman #130 and Batman #130 with art by Jorge Jiménez. And DC Comics have shared the various covers for these issues with fans, as well as the synopses for the two issues. And, here it all is now:
“In the penultimate issue, Failsafe countered every move Batman—and the Justice League—have attempted. Is the Dark Knight out of options on…Earth?
The backup story, by Zdarsky and artist Leonardo Romero, takes Batman back to his early years, revisiting his most psychedelic and mind breaking period, and the dawn of his first backup system of protection, Zur-En-Arrh!”
Covers by Jorge Jiménez, Gabriele Dell’Otto and Francesco Mattina, plus a 1:25 ratio variant cover by Simone Di Meo, and a 1:50 ratio foil variant by JOCK.
“Chip and Jorge’s last chapter in the FAILSAFE arc reaches its brutal and stunning conclusion! Batman has one desperate, final option…will he walk away from it? The answer will shock you! The backup story, with art by Leonardo Romero continues the early days of Batman and his relationship with Zur-En-Arrh.”
Covers by Gabriele Dell’Otto and Harleen artist Stjepan Sejic, with a 1:25 ratio variant cover by David Marquez (Batman: Killing Time), a 1:50 ratio foil variant by JOCK, plus a special holiday-themed variant by Future State: The Next Batman artist Laura Braga.
