‘Unsolved Mysteries’ And ‘Wendell & Wild’ Top Out Netflix Picks In October

Although there’s no evidence of it happening, the weather should be changing soon. The days are getting shorter, though, which means it is time for autumn and a spookier set of releases on Netflix for October. There’s plenty to choose from, but we’re focusing on the third volume of Unsolved Mysteries. The documentary series returns with another set of stories of people going missing, cold case crimes, and — we presume — the unexplained. The first two volumes departed from the original series’ magazine format, but produced a number of compelling hour-long documentaries in the spooky tone of Unsolved Mysteries‘ great theme music. Hopefully, the third volume will continue the tradition. It debuts on October 18th.

Outside of “based on actual events” entertainment, Coraline director Henry Selick returns with Wendell & Wild on October 28th. Two demon brothers convince a human girl to summon them to the Earthly plane. But her compromise leads them down a whole new direction.

Of course, this is just our picks. Take a look at everything coming to and leaving the service next month to find your next pop culture obsession.
