The Brave and The Bold has been something of a mainstay for DC Comics and so it would seem it’s time again to resurrect the title that debuted DC icons such as The Suicide Squad, Justice League of America, Metamorpho, The Element Man, and the Teen Titans. But, this time round, it’ll be an anthology. And starring the omnipresent Batman. Y’know, because you can never have too many Batman titles, right?
Batman: The Brave and The Bold will be written by Tom King with art by Mitch Gerads that will not only feature Batman, but also other heroes from the DCU by a variety of creators. The first issue alone will feature four news stories.
Here’s the details posted by DC Comics, the strips, the creators and the heroes involved, other than Batman:
“Coming off the spectacular success of Batman – One Bad Day: The Riddler, the Eisner Award-winning team of Tom King and Mitch Gerads reunite for a horrifying four-part retelling of the first bloody clash between The Joker and the Batman. A tale of loathing, lies, and laughter, this may be the most frightening Joker story in a generation.
