Abomination Vaults is one of my favorite modules across all of gaming. I reviewed Pathfinders Second Edition Abomination Vaults a while back and anyone who has read the review or knows me personally is well aware that I’m a big fan of mega dungeons and the Abomination Vault has been one of my favorites in recent history.
Now, BKOM Studios and Paizo have announced the upcoming launch of Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults, the first-ever action RPG based on the Pathfinder TTRPG. Up to four players will lead some of the iconic Pathfinder heroes on a treacherous journey into the deepest depths of Gauntlight Keep, battling deadly monsters and abominations to reach the evil sorceress Belcorra Haruvex and put an end to her nefarious schemes once and for all!
The story of Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults revolves around the vile sorceress Belcorra Haruvex, who has returned to her cursed home of Gauntlight Keep. There, she is gathering an army of powerful monsters and abominations to take revenge against those who she feels had wronged her in life. Those who want to stop her have to trek into the depths of a long-forgotten mega dungeon to destroy her army and cast her back to the lands of the dead for good.
The game will feature four iconic characters from the Pathfinder universe, including two of my favorites Amiri the barbarian and Ezren the wizard. Players will be able to delve deeper into the sprawling megadungeon, which is teeming with cunning monsters and grotesque abominations who wish to rid them of their hitpoints and put an end to their stories.
The project is set to be launched on Kickstarter later this month, and players who are interested in staying informed when the campaign launches can follow along on the pre-launch page at this link.
