She made her debut in the game changing Powers of X and was instantly a fan favorite. She returned in Sins of Sinister, making her mark as the only hero in a dark world. Now, Rasputin IV has come to present day Krakoa, and the first thing she’s doing is attending this year’s Hellfire Gala.
Rasputin IV was one of the first new characters revealed in the initial marketing for House of X/Powers of X. She was last seen being sucked into a black hole, which many suspected would result in her debut in the modern Marvel Universe. Though it didn’t work out quite like that, a version of the hero came to the modern day in the climax of Sins of Sinister, which found her on Krakoa to save the timeline from her father, Mister Sinister.
Clearly she’s meant to be here to stay, joining other time displaced X-Men like Bishop, Cable, Askani and Hope. Coming up on July’s X-Men Red, she marks her stunning public debut on the latest variant cover, this one by superstar artist Jamie McKelvie.
