The Experience is prepping to offer another special evening for fans of original art collecting. This Friday, the program has secured the entirety of Spider-Man (2023) #7 by Dan Slott, Mark Bagley, John Dell, and Andrew Hennessy. All 20 interior pages — including a 2-page spread featuring Spider-Men and Women — will be on offer, even the first page to feature Spider-Boy. Each page will be available individually, though, so the night will be a most rare opportunity.
Spider-Man #7 wraps up Slott’s “End of the Spider-Verse” storyline with Spider-Boy deciding to spend some time in the mainline 616 universe. Identifying himself as Bailey, he claims to know both Peter Parker and Miles Morales quite well, but he is a complete stranger to them. And being a high-profile first appearance, copies of the issue are already fetching premium prices on the secondary market.
Other items planned for the broadcast include the cover to 1991’s Amazing Spider-Man #352, Bagley’s second for that series; his cover to Spider-Man (2016) #1 with Hennessey; Bagley’s wraparound cover from Amazing Spider-Man #29; the pure pencil version of his Amazing Spider-Man #80.B cover; a commission featuring Spider-Man, Black Cat, and Venom; the pencil art for Sinister War #1, page 10; and a page from Amazing Spider-Man #365 — the commemorative 30th anniversary issue that saw the “return” of Peter’s parents. And that’s just the Bagley art currently planned to be featured.
Begun during the pandemic lockdown, The Experience strives to bring the thrill of original art collecting from comic book conventions to an online space. Those interested in any of the pieces previewed here can head on over to the episode’s landing page and set a reminder. The Experience‘s original art show streams live every Friday at 7pm ET/4pm PT.
