Sometimes a beloved band just… well drops off your radar. And one such band for me is The Hives. And with good reason, as they haven’t released a new LP in over a decade, with Les Hives being their last offering. Well, the good news for me and others is that they are back and touring with the Arctic Monkeys before, I hope, setting out on a tour to support their new forthcoming album, The Death Of Randy Fitzsimmons, out this summer.
But, the reason I am posting their latest video here on a comic book website is twofold. Firstly, we have been sneaking in the odd bit of music coverage for a while now, and the video accompanying their new track, ‘Bogus Operandi’ is a phenomenally well done homage to Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead. So, that’s a tenuous link enough to feature it here, right? That, and it’s a great track! Welcome back, boys!
