Red Sonja #2, due out this August from Dynamite, continues the tale begun in the Free Comic Book Day zero issue and July’s debut installment. Sonja is on the run for a crime she did not commit. She has no one to trust and faces danger and suspicion at every turn. And as it becomes clear something is motivating her predicament, Sonja suspects the land of Vestfold and its cruel ruler, Varg.
As with the premiere issue, the second chapter of the tale by writer Torunn Grønbekk and artist Walter Geovani will be supported by a bevy of variant covers from the likes of Stephen Platt, Inhyuk Lee, Bjorn Barends, Bryan Hitch and cosplayer Rachel Hollon. Additional retailer incentive covers include work from Lucio Parrillo, Joseph Michael Linsner, Richard Isanove, Werther Dell’Edera, and John Royle.
